OR-MEP Role:
Building Science Manager

What motivates you in this role?
Working with the Energy Consultants and Energy Advisors to ensure that residents and building owners actually see the energy savings our program promotes. There are few things in my professional life that are as rewarding and motivating as knowing that people are comfortable and healthy where they live for the lowest energy cost possible.

What excites you most about the Multifamily Energy Program?
I really enjoy the flexibility of this program! Both in the fact that there are prescriptive and whole building solutions available, but also that within the prescriptive path, we have various bundles. There’s almost surely at least one bundle or combination of measures available for any qualifying project. How cool is that?

What is one fun fact about you that you think people would love to know?
While I of course love spending time with my fiancé, if I’m left to my own devices on a rainy Saturday, nothing will make me happier than spending part of my day watching cage fighting, followed up with a Hallmark movie! Balance is the key to life after all.

What is your favorite place that you’ve traveled to in Oregon?
I’m lucky that I get to travel around this beautiful state for both work and pleasure. I first got to really experience the Oregon Coast in the late 1990s as I weatherized mobile homes up and down the 101 highway. I love the stretch from Coos Bay to Lincoln City that I first encountered all those years ago!
