Case Study: Nesika Illahee

The Oregon Multifamily Energy Program (OR-MEP) reduced the incremental costs of implementing energy efficiency measures at Nesika Illahee, a multifamily property serving Portland’s Native American population. Nesika Illahee incorporated numerous energy efficiency upgrades into the project build, including packaged terminal heat pumps, an upgrade that would not have been possible without the help of OR-MEP funding. The holistic building upgrades are designed to improve quality of life for residents and reduce their monthly energy bills.
“The residents [at Nesika Illahee] pay for their own utilities, so to be able to help reduce their monthly expenses is most beneficial to them.”
