OR-MEP Role: Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing (NOAH) Energy Advisor

What motivates you in this role?

My primary motivation in the energy-efficiency industry has always been my experience growing up in West Virginia and witnessing firsthand what fossil fuel extraction does to communities and ecologies.

What excites you most about the Multifamily Energy Program?

I’m excited to see the naturally occurring affordable housing portion of OR-MEP bring energy efficiency upgrades to smaller unregulated rental properties and to encourage the stabilization of both rent and utility bills for residents of these properties.

What is one fun fact about you that you think people would love to know?

In my spare time, I build custom furniture and wind chimes.

What is your favorite place that you’ve traveled to in Oregon?

I once took the forest roads from Dallas to Drift Creek Falls, stopping by Valley of Giants. A beautiful tour of the Coast Range.
