This training will provide a technology overview on drain water heat recovery (DWHR), including potential first cost and savings ranges for standard installations. The training will focus on three unique water heating configurations in multifamily buildings and how the technology can be folded into each scenario. Scenarios include:
- In unit water heating tank
- Centralized tank
- In unit or central tankless water heater
In addition, we share recommended practices and considerations for applications in multifamily new construction and retrofits scenarios.
